VPNBF Help Center

Organized into four sections: accounts and subscriptions, connection and troubleshooting, speed and routes, billing and refunds. Each answer states only verifiable facts and steps; anything about prices, refund days and device counts matches the Pricing and Terms pages.

Accounts and Subscriptions

5 answers

Sign-up, sign-in, device count and plan changes are the four things asked about most before getting started. Every answer in this section follows what the dashboard actually shows, with no extra steps.

Do I need an email address to create an account?

No. Creating a VPNBF account only requires a username and a password, and no email address is collected. Sign-up is shorter, and there is one less piece of personal information that a third party could read.

Keep your username and password safe: they are the only credentials you need to sign in to the dashboard, view orders and get your subscription.

How many devices can use one account at the same time?

Unlimited devices. The same account can be signed in on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and Linux at the same time. There is no extra charge for a second device and no separate multi-device plan.

A spare phone at home and a work computer online at the same time still count as one account.

When does plan data reset?

Monthly, on your activation date. If you start a monthly plan on the 10th, the next cycle's data resets on the 10th of the following month, not on the 1st of the calendar month.

That way every billing cycle gives you the full allowance, 60GB, 250GB or 500GB depending on your plan, with no part of it cut off by the activation date.

How is the price difference calculated when I upgrade mid-cycle?

When you upgrade mid-cycle, the unused part of your current plan is credited based on the remaining days and applied to the new plan, so you only pay the difference.

The new data allowance and route access take effect as soon as the upgrade is complete, with no waiting for the next cycle and no double charge.

Do I need to buy again after changing devices or reinstalling my system?

No. A plan is tied to your account, not to a device. After switching computers or phones or reinstalling your system, sign in to the dashboard with the same username and password, get your subscription again and import it into your client.

The old subscription link keeps working, or you can generate a new one in the dashboard.

Connection and Troubleshooting

5 answers

Two problems account for most connection issues: the client shows connected but nothing works, and a particular app does not go through the route. The steps below are in troubleshooting order, so do what you can verify yourself first and then decide whether to open a ticket.

The client says it is connected but web pages will not open. How do I troubleshoot?

Do three things in order:

  1. Open an IP lookup page and check whether your exit IP is now in the region of the route. If it is not, your traffic is not going through the route.
  2. Check whether DNS is still resolving through your local ISP, and enable DNS takeover in the client if needed.
  3. Switch to another route and try again to rule out a temporary problem on a single route.

If it still fails after all three steps, open a ticket and attach the client log.

Why do some apps not go through the route?

Most clients use rule mode or the system proxy by default, so only apps that follow the system proxy settings go through the route. Some games, command-line tools and custom clients connect directly and bypass the system proxy.

If that happens, switch the client to global mode or TUN virtual adapter mode so traffic is captured at the system level, then try again.

What if the subscription link fails to import or will not update?

First make sure you copied the latest subscription link from the dashboard rather than an old address saved long ago, and that the dashboard opens normally on your current network.

If the client reports a format error, re-import using the other import method shown in the dashboard. A subscription link is account credentials, so do not forward it to others; if it leaks, generate a new one in the dashboard.

The client keeps spinning and reports a connection timeout. What causes this?

There are three common causes:

  • An inaccurate system clock - sync the time automatically once.
  • Another proxy app on your device holding the port - quit it completely before trying again.
  • The current route being temporarily unavailable - just switch routes.

If only one route times out and the others work, switch routes; there is no need to reinstall the client.

It works on my computer but my phone will not connect. What should I do?

The first time you connect on a phone, the system asks for permission to add a VPN configuration. If you declined it then, the client will stay stuck on connecting, and you need to allow it again in system settings.

Also, the power-saving policy on some Android models kills the client process in the background, so add the client to the battery whitelist. Step-by-step subscription import for iOS and Android is covered per platform on the Guides page.

Speed and Routes

6 answers

Speed problems are usually not about which route is fastest, but about whether a route suits what you are doing right now. Below, route types, how to choose and how to test for yourself are covered separately.

It gets much slower during peak hours. What should I do?

The bottleneck at peak hours is usually the segment from your local broadband to the exit. Work through this order:

  1. Switch first to an IEPL dedicated line or a relay route, since both use optimized paths and are less affected by peak traffic.
  2. Avoid the currently popular regions and pick a nearby region with lower load.
  3. Check that nothing else on your device is saturating the bandwidth, such as cloud drive sync or system updates.
What is the difference between IEPL dedicated lines, relay routes and direct routes?

A direct route connects from your location straight to an overseas data center: the shortest path and the lowest cost, good for everyday browsing.

A relay route enters a relay node first before going overseas, avoiding congested public network segments, so it is steadier at peak hours.

An IEPL dedicated line runs over a private leased link with the most controllable latency and packet loss, which suits long-lived connections such as AI tool chats, remote development and real-time collaboration.

How can I tell whether a route is really fast?

Do not rely on marketing numbers. Run three tests yourself in the same time window: one with acceleration off as a baseline, and two over different routes, comparing download speed, latency and packet loss.

Use a speed test server in the same region, or the numbers are not comparable. For tool choices and timing, see the guide 'How to Test VPN Speed Accurately' on this site.

100+ countries / 230+ routes - how should I choose?

Choose by purpose, not by quantity:

  • For AI tools - prefer routes in the region they are labelled for.
  • For streaming - pick a region that supports the platform.
  • For everyday browsing - pick the region geographically closest to you for the lowest latency.

The dashboard groups routes by region and lets you search by region name or route type, so you do not need to remember node numbers.

Why do routes in the same region differ so much in speed?

The same region may have direct, relay and dedicated access at the same time. Different access types take different paths, so speeds differ; on top of that, each route carries a different current load.

In practice you do not need to worry about node numbers: note the two or three routes you use most and switch between them when one fluctuates.

Are the latency figures in the dashboard accurate?

The latency shown in the dashboard is a reference value from your client to the access point, meant for comparing routes against each other. It is not a measure of actual download speed.

Real-world performance also depends on your local broadband, the region of the target website and current network conditions, so judge with your own speed test results as well.

Billing and Refunds

5 answers

Prices, cycles, data packs and refund rules all follow this section, and match the figures on the Pricing and Terms pages exactly.

Which payment methods are supported?

Alipay, WeChat and USDT. After ordering, choose a payment method on the order page in the dashboard and follow the on-screen instructions; the order status updates automatically.

Once payment is complete you can get your subscription in the dashboard, with no manual review.

How do I request a refund?

A 7-day no-questions-asked refund is available. Submit a ticket within 7 days with your order number and the reason, and no extra proof is required.

Refunds go back to the original payment channel, and how long it takes depends on that channel's processing speed. Orders older than 7 days are no longer eligible for a no-questions-asked refund.

Do data packs expire?

No. Data packs are used until they run out and never expire. After purchase the allowance stays in your account with no expiry date and is not reset with the monthly subscription cycle.

They suit users whose usage varies, or who only need heavy use during business trips and travel.

Should I choose a monthly subscription or a data pack?

Choose a monthly subscription if your usage is steady and you need to be online long term: ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, ¥28/month with 500GB, with data reset monthly on your activation date.

Choose a data pack if your usage is concentrated in a few months: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, ¥658/3000GB, used until they run out and never expiring.

Will prices change later? Will an upgrade charge me twice?

The price and data allowance within a purchased cycle do not change. When you upgrade mid-cycle, the remaining part of your current plan is credited based on the remaining days, so there is no double charge.

All prices are as shown on the Pricing page and the order page in the dashboard.

The four sections above cover the most common situations during setup and everyday use. If your question is not among them, sign in to the dashboard and open a ticket: include the client name, system version, the route that failed and the time it happened, and it will be handled faster. The ticket entry is in the dashboard sidebar, under the same account as your orders and subscription.
